The Forum Proud to be Part of Dive In 2021
We were thrilled to present our holistic framework for LGBT+ inclusion at the globally run Dive In festival that ran from 21-23 September.
Johannesburg, September 2021: Dive In is a global movement in the insurance sector to support the development of inclusive workplace cultures. Its mission is to enable people to achieve their potential by raising awareness of the business case and promoting positive action for diversity in all its forms. Since its birth in 2015, Dive In has grown exponentially, reaching global heights with events taking place in over 60 cities across 33 countries world-wide, attracting more than 9,000 people.
We were invited by insurance services and risk management firm Aon to speak at the South African event held on 22nd September. Directors of the Forum, Luke Andrews and Thabang Sebata, spoke about the importance of LGBT+ inclusion in South African context, the Forum's framework for LGBT+ inclusion and best practices based on analysis of our SAWEI benchmark. We spoke alongside Graeme Codrington who spoke about "Why embracing difference is a vital key to success in the future of work" and Anele Siswana who spoke about "Destabilising/Deconstructing Compulsory Heteronormativity in the workplace".
